Tandem diving here means you have an instructor who is connected to your body from the back and he is the one who is controlling the parachuting【跳伞】.
Tandem n. 串联；串座双人自行车;adj. 串联的
Tandem diving 双人高空跳伞，双人跳水
Parachuting【跳伞】is a competitor sport.
In sky diving the aim is to get it down.
Dart 飞镖游戏
Bullseye 靶心，圆心
In parachuting you need to make sure you drop into a certain area which is roughly like the bullseye of the dart.
You get points 【获得分数】for where you are landing【降落】and how good you are. I don’t know too much about the sport but yeah that’s how it works basically.

So this [tandem diving] is for novice or rookies.
Novice/rookie 新手，初学者
Rookie 语气中更有“菜鸟”的味道
Work in sync 协调工作
Sync， 是synchronize的缩写，”同速，同时发生”
Flight: run away 逃跑
