在Stanstead的一天从早上六点半的闹钟开始。我起床后要迅速的洗漱，避免占用太长时间的卫生间，影响到我室友。穿戴完毕后还要整理房间：叠被子，倒垃圾之类，我们每天有房间检查，在得了连续一星期的差评后，我吸取了足够的经验，就得以保持每天房间的整洁。早饭有鸡蛋培根香肠面包等，当想念中国菜时，我就把焗西红柿和炒蛋拌到一起，当做西红柿炒鸡蛋---一道中国家常菜。
A typical day in Stanstead starts with my alarm clock at 6:30 in the morning. I brush my teeth and clean my face quickly to avoid using the bathroom for too long, which might annoy my roommate. Then I tidy the room: do my bed, clean the rubbish bin and so on. We have a room sanitation check every day, after receiving bad mark for the first whole week, I learnt enough lessons that now I always maintain our room clean and nice. We have egg, bacon, sausage and bread and stuff like that for breakfast, which is not bad.
我们8点上课，同样，在刚开始几天的慌乱之后，我已经能记住每堂课所在的教室了，前一天晚上查好第二天的课表并背下来，提前准备好需要的书就行。我有时会连爬五层楼累得气喘吁吁，但是因为准备算是充足，从未迟到过。在这里，我需要自己记住所有的事情，自己安排妥当，这是我以前未曾有过的经历。
We have our class at 8, also, for the first few days, I was always in a hurry; but now, I can remember all the different classrooms for each class. I always check my schedule and recite it to see what classes do I have for the next day, and at the same time, get all the books required well prepared. Thus, though it is tiring for me to climb up to the fifth floor to take my science or rush to the far away building to take history, I never leave any books behind in my dorm or be late for the class, because I have already learnt how to get my stuff ready at any time. Here, I have to bear everything about me in mind by myself, which I had never experienced before.
中午吃饭很特殊，除了星期三，其他的工作日的午餐是要和自己的advisor一起坐，大家围在一起，吃饭前要先站着等待所有人入场，然后一起grace，才能入坐，然后一桌一桌按序起身去取食物。吃饭时我们会跟advisee group中的人聊天，包括分享趣事以及排忧解难。我觉得午餐总是温暖并充满仪式感的。
It is kind of special for our lunch. We sit together with our advisee group every workday at mealtime except for Wednesday. We first stand and wait till everybody is in the hall, then we announce the birthdays and do the grace together: to thank for the food and happiness. After, we go get food table by table---the table with birthday people go first. During lunch, we chat with our advisees and share whatever good or bad things with them. Our lunch is always warm and full of the sense of ritual.
每次上完一天的课都会觉得又累又轻松，迎接下午的运动。我这个秋季选的是intramural，可以让我尝试许多不同的运动，比如足球，篮球，飞盘，棒球，曲棍球等。做运动总是开心的，大家都在奔跑，这种感觉很好，作为一天学习的收尾。
The class ends in the afternoon, at about 3:30. I always feel tired but also relaxed at the end of the classes. Then we have sports. I chose the intramural for the autumn season because I can get to try all kinds of sports like soccer, basketball, frisbee, baseball, hockey etc. Doing sports is always pleasant to me, everyone is running and sweating, which feels really good. I can’t think of a better way for us to end the whole day of studying.
在这里的每一天都是充实的，晚上我们还会有study，每个人完成自己的学习任务，一切都有条不紊的进行着。我一躺到床上就会睡着，可能是因为想着要更加过好下一天吧。
Every day is busy but fruitful, we have the Study in the evening, everyone finishes their work and everything goes smoothly. I fall asleep every fast at night, perhaps it is because I also want to have a nice day tomorrow.
