最近受邀参加了一个教师的省培项目。这次培训和以往有所不同,既不是做讲座也不是授课,而是指导教师准备教学设计,从文本选材开始,直至最后的生成。就感觉是人在跑步的时候,从起跑线出发,一直到达终点,每一个参加的教师都从中领悟不同的东西,收获不一样的体验。
早在9月份的时候,Sir就开始考虑这次活动的选材,因为药材好,药才好,所有课堂的最初应该是从选材开始的。这种选材应该首要考虑受众,其次才是制作材料之人的个人体验。而本次教研活动不是直接面对学生,而是指导教师,这样的特殊性又需要找一篇比较有代表性的文章进行解读,达成培训的目的。
9月份正值学校运动会报名阶段,班级学生对参加运动会似乎热情不高,于是在这种情况下,我选择在一节英语课堂上执教了Exhausting and exicting: You always remember your first race. 通过此课,学生了解了舒适区的概念,并且明白了人要想不断进步就要不断突破自身舒适区的道理。这堂课取得了超乎预期的效果,学生喜欢老师满意,因而我也决定将“跑步”主题作为这次研讨活动的材料内容。
跑步,因其场地限制少,活动简单而又有足够的运动强度受到越来越多人的喜爱。随着经济发展,国内城市也逐渐掀起了马赛的热潮。它不是诸如突破人类极限的基普乔格这样大神的专属,也是所有普通人所能爱上的非奢侈品。我们平常给学生的材料选择也应该是像跑步这样的平民化运动,而不是高尔夫这样的贵族运动,要让所有的学生都能够得上用得着。
叔本华曾说:要么庸俗,要么孤独。生命是一团欲望,欲望不能满足痛苦,一旦满足就会无聊,而人生往往就是在痛苦和无聊之间摇摆,从痛苦到满足再到无聊再催生痛苦。跑步的特点就是长时间、重复性、机械性,人要在特别无聊的时候,才会选择这种枯燥乏味的运动。但是以枯燥的运动对抗无聊的生活,在重复性的技术活动中沉潜下来,以简单而机械化的方式来锻造精雕细琢的工匠精神,这是对生活的悲叹和无奈,也是一种积极面对、磨砺自我的生活哲学。
人在独处的时候往往会去重新深思人生的意义和目标,如果一个人每天坚持长跑,那他就每天多了很多时间去思考自己的精神状态。在跑步这件事上,我们可以看到坚持的可贵,独处的可贵,自由的可贵,磨练的可贵,思考的可贵,超越的可贵……
这个文本讲述的是作者的第一次5km长跑,虽然在跑惯了的人面前这点距离都不算什么,可是标题中作者已经表明了这是她的第一次长跑。在该文本中,作者针对跑步的态度经历了四个阶段:hate running, trying running, join in running, like running,这中间的race是文本的主体部分,按照时间被分成了不同的阶段。
Exhausting, exciting: You always remember your first race
⑴Iused to hate running. It seemed too hard, and pushing outside my comfort zonewas not something I was raised to do.
⑵In fact, I wouldn't havebecome a runner if it weren't for my husband Charles. He had been a seriouscompetitive runner for many years. After our marriage, he wouldn't stop talkingabout how much he missed it.
⑶"Sostart running again, why don't you?" I was getting tired of hearing aboutit.
⑷Sohe picked it up again, and after about a year, I figured I needed to get inshape and I asked if I could run with him. Then I started to join him at thetrack. This was not fun at first. I was pretty out of shape. But I finally gotused to it. Just a few weeks later, Charles signed us both up for afive-kilometer race. I hesitated about doing it. It was toosoon.
⑸Buton race day, there I was.
⑹Thegun went off. Thousands of runners pushed forward.
⑺Thefirst kilometer was tough.
⑻"Idon't think I'm gonna make it.” I was already breathing heavily and painfullyaware of the group of runners pounding past me.
⑼“No,you're doing great.” said Charles. He was trying to encourage me, to get mefocused on something other than my discomfort.
⑽“Ican’t."I said, barely audibly.
⑾Hetried a different way to persuade me. "Just make it to that house andlet's see how you feel.”
⑿Afteranother minute I saw the three-kilometer mark. All I could think of was that Iwas dying and that my husband was torturing me.
⒀Miserabledoesn't even begin to describe how I felt, and there was pain, so much pain.
⒁"You’llbe fine. You've got less than a kilometer to go.”
⒂Irounded a corner, and saw both sides of the street thick with people watchingthe race, all cheering the runners on. I willed my legs to keep going.
⒃ThenI looked up and saw the clock. The seconds ticking down gave me courage. I knewthat if I actually finished this race, I would have achieved something. So, Istraightened up and kicked it
⒄Ihad my arms held higher when I passed through the finish line. A volunteer puta medal around my neck.
⒅“Youdid great! I'm so proud of you. "Charles was thrilled that I'd made it
⒆“Thatwas AMAZING! I want to do another race. This running stuff is amazing! "Iproudly hugged my medal as we started to walk to the post-race festivities. Mylungs and my comfort zone both expanded.
出门时候还是打算穿着正装去的,但一穿上便感觉不舒服,于是一身运动服就去了。所幸,这次的课例还真就是运动,所以毫无违和感。在最初,我分享了课堂设计的一些思考:从最新课程标准中,我们英语教师要落实立德树人根本任务,而课堂是渗透德育的主阵地,这种渗透又以培育学生的核心素养为重点,其中文化意识的培育是关键,这就体现了英语作为语言学科的工具性和人文性统一融合。
而从解读文本的维度,教师们拿到材料首要考虑的是文章的语篇,新课标对语篇意识有了较高的要求,在把握各类文体特点的情况下再去思考一个具体语篇的主题,在人与社会、自然、自我的大主题语境下去思考语篇结构。每一个文本都像是一个站立的人,主题就是人的头脸,让我们可以去辨识具体的身份,而语篇结构就像是一具躯干,使这个人站立了起来。语言则像是其血肉,是整个人立体而丰满。无论是教师和学生,都可以通过这三样去窥见语篇所指,但教师还有一重更重要的任务,这就是去挖掘文本的内涵,就好像是去探究一个人背后的灵魂,这就是语篇解决的意义。
此外,Sir还在此次教师指导中提到了目标设计和板书设计,提到了文本的标题解读和首尾呼应,提到了语言赏析和思维导图,提到了课堂环节和课堂问题设置的层次性,提到了导入所需要考虑的三个要素,提到了依据不同语篇特点的不同授课方式,提到了问题链设计时需要关注的点,提到了读写课的真实操作性,提到了一些课堂设计的原点在于学生,以生为本的课堂设计。
一天下来,从理论到实际,又以“跑步”为主题的文本进行具体的事例设计解读,发出了一个草根教师的声音,收获了台下听课教师的掌声和肯定。
